What are the benefits of VSHRM? 

VSHRM seeks to promote the professionalism of the Human Resource Management field by offering members a wide variety of professional development opportunities and a common forum in which to share ideas and experiences. The Chapter serves members by: 

• Conducting the annual Wage, Salary and Benefits Survey in conjunction with the America Society of Employers. The annual survey contains demographics on over 100 job titles as well as a list of employee benefits and programs offered by local companies.
• Providing a wide range of educational programs and other activities that allow members to develop their expertise in the various functional areas through VSHRM's monthly (alternating) breakfast and lunch meetings, September through May. Monthly meetings provide a forum for members to meet and share information that will help them address human resource issues in their respective organizations.
• Providing chapter updates and updates on our profession via our monthly newsletter, meeting announcements, and our USEFUL LINKS tab on our website which connects members to a wide variety of useful tools and HR information. 
• Offering a detailed VSHRM directory including the names and contact numbers of all VSHRM member companies and their company associates. 
• Providing on-line job placements as well as professional human resource mentoring opportunities.
